7 Foundations

During Spring, 2009, we did a sermon series simply entitled, "Seven". This featured 7 specific words which you can filter all of life through to find answers. these seven words are:

• God
• Garden
• Fall
• Cross
• Identity
• Choices
• Eternity

In a nutshell, understanding who God is will be instrumental in how you process life around you.

Understanding the Garden (of Eden) helps you know what God's original intent was for mankind.

Knowing that the Fall caused all of humanity to inherit a horrible, sinful nature helps you understand why we need a Savior.

Looking to the Cross as God's plan to redeem us back to Himself explains how we can have a new identity. No longer are we in bondage to sin-- we now live in Christ.

Because we have a new identiy, we also have a choice: Will we choose self or God?

If you choose God, you live that brand-new life afforded to you!

And because you chose God, you can expect to spend eternity with him. You also have a job to do down here on earth, and you'll give an account as to whether or not you lived for Christ when you get to eternity.
